Varjo Reveals XR-4 Headset, Claiming Mixed Realty Visuals “indistinguishable from natural sight”

Varjo has unveiled its new high-end enterprise headset, the XR-4, which boasts impressive mixed reality capabilities. The company claims that the view of the real world seen through the headset is virtually identical to natural sight. The XR-4 comes in two editions: the Focal Edition, priced at $10,000, which offers a passthrough view with a resolution of 51 pixels per degree, and the standard edition, priced at $4,000, which has a resolution of 33 pixels per degree. The XR-4 features high-resolution displays, inside-out tracking, built-in audio, eye-tracking technology, and Varjo's own controllers. The XR-4 is set to be released by the end of 2023.
