Meta to Reduce Quest’s Minimum Age Restriction to 10 Years
Meta is lowering the age requirement for Quest users from 13+ to 10+ and introducing parent-managed accounts for preteens to address safety concerns. The new accounts will allow parents to control the apps their children can download and set screen time and privacy settings. Preteens will not be served ads and parents can choose whether user data will be shared with Meta. The changes coincide with the upcoming launch of Quest 3. However, Meta's Horizon Worlds social VR app will retain its 13+ age requirement in the US and Canada. Visit the source for the full story.
