Quest 3 Is Now The 4th Most Used VR Headset On Steam, Surpassing The Original HTC Vive
According to the Steam Hardware & Software Survey, the Oculus Quest 3 was the fourth most used VR headset on Steam in December, surpassing the original HTC Vive. The usage share of the Quest 3 grew significantly, jumping from 5.2% in November to 7.74% in December. It is expected to surpass the Oculus Rift S and claim the number three spot soon. The Quest 2 still holds the top spot, but its share actually declined, possibly due to Quest 2 owners upgrading to the Quest 3 or lower retention among Quest 2 owners. Meta headsets, including all Oculus models, account for over 62% of VR headset usage on Steam. Valve's Index headset comes in second place with a little over 18%.
