Safari On visionOS Is Getting Support For Embedded Spatial Photos & Videos

Apple Vision Pro's visionOS is set to support spatial photos and videos on web pages via Safari, as revealed in an interview with Apple employees on PetaPixel. These spatial media formats include stereoscopic 3D videos and multi-image HEIC files, which can be shot with newer iPhone models and Apple Vision Pro. Currently, users must download files to view them in 3D, but the upcoming update will allow viewing directly on the webpage. Meanwhile, Vimeo has introduced an Apple Vision Pro app supporting spatial videos, and Canon plans to launch a "spatial lens" for EOS R7 cameras. Apple will also update Final Cut Pro to include support for editing spatial videos and adding immersive effects. For the full details, visit the source on UploadVR.
