PSVR 2 On PC Project Gets Headset Positional Tracking Working In SteamVR
The project to use PlayStation VR2 as a PC SteamVR headset has made progress with the addition of headset positional tracking. While PSVR 2 already works on PC in cinema mode, it lacks positional tracking without third-party tools or drivers. iVRy, the developer of a SteamVR driver for the original PSVR, has been experimenting with PSVR 2 and recently achieved SteamVR output to the headset. They have also figured out how to read the positional tracking data from PSVR 2, but currently the project requires custom hardware and software. The development team is now working on replacing the Linux PC setup with a Raspberry Pi Pico. However, there is no finished adapter available for end users yet, and no company has announced plans to produce one. For the full story, please visit the source at UploadVR.
