Magic Leap has announced that its Magic Leap 1 AR headsets will no longer function after December 31, 2024. While the device is no longer available for purchase, it will continue to receive support for core functionality until the end-of-life date. Warranty claims will still be honored, but cloud services for the device will cease to exist. Magic Leap 1 launched in 2018 but fell short of sales expectations due to its high price and limitations in optics. The company has since shifted its focus to enterprise solutions.
