Valve Launches ‘Steam Link’ on Quest for a Direct Connection to SteamVR

Valve has released the Steam Link app on Meta's VR platforms, allowing users to easily connect their Quest headset to SteamVR to play PC VR or flatscreen PC content. Previously, users had to install and use the outdated Oculus PC software, which was an extra step before accessing SteamVR. With the Steam Link app, users can connect their Quest directly to SteamVR without the need for the Oculus PC software. All they need is a capable PC running Steam on the same network as their headset. The app also allows users to play any game from their Steam library on a big screen in front of them. The minimum requirements for using Steam Link are a 5 GHz Wi-Fi connection or a wired connection to the PC, NVIDIA GTX970 or better GPU, Windows 10 or newer operating system, and Meta Quest 2, 3, or Pro headset. The app may also support eye-tracking and face-tracking for Oculus Pro users. For more information, visit the source article on Road to VR.
