Creator of Rhythm Action Game ‘Thumper’ Announces New VR Game Set for 2024
The co-creator of the rhythm action game Thumper has announced a new VR-first game called Thrasher. Unlike Thumper, which started as a flatscreen game and later added VR support, Thrasher is being developed specifically for VR with motion controls in mind. The game will launch next year as a VR-only game on Quest and PC VR, with a flatscreen version coming later. Thrasher is described as a mind-melting cosmic racer and promises to be an immersive audiovisual experience. Players will guide an 'eel' using motion controllers, creating an unique gameplay experience. Thrasher is being developed by indie studio Puddle, consisting of Thumper co-creator Brian Gibson and Mike Mandel. Visit the source, Road to VR, for the full article.
