Sony Fixed The PlayStation VR2 On PC Distortion Issue We Noted In Our Review
Sony has updated the PlayStation VR2 firmware, addressing the rotational distortion issue we noted in our review of the PC adapter. While we previously praised the PSVR 2 for its unique OLED display with stunning colors and contrast, we also highlighted an image distortion problem when rotating horizontally on a PC, which didn't occur on a PlayStation 5 or with other VR headsets. With the new 2.0.0 update, this issue has been fully resolved. Additionally, AMD graphics card users can now adjust the headset's refresh rate between 90Hz and 120Hz. To access these improvements, launch the PlayStation VR2 app on Steam, turn on your headset and controllers, and update each.
Furthermore, TP-Link has released special firmware for its UB500/UB5A Bluetooth USB adapter to potentially fix lag issues with PSVR 2 Sense controllers.
With the distortion issue fixed, the PlayStation VR2 is now more recommendable as a PC VR headset. For a detailed review, visit UploadVR.
