Pirates VR: Jolly Roger offers a fun, light-hearted VR adventure, although it falls short due to shallow combat mechanics. Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, the game focuses on a classic pirate theme as players explore a cursed island seeking treasure. Currently available on PC VR, the game is set to release on PS VR2 in Q2 2025. The narrative is simple, with a linear campaign that lasts about four hours, featuring replayable chapters but lacking depth. Players are accompanied by a witty parrot companion while taking on exploration and combat challenges that are functional but not groundbreaking.
