Quest Enhances Vision Pro Feature List with Improved Flexibility for 2D Content Placement - Road to VR
Quest Adds Another Vision Pro Feature to the List with More Flexible 2D Content Placement
Quest users have long sought better tools for managing windowed content to enhance web browsing and 2D app usage. The upcoming Horizon OS (formerly Quest OS) v67 update seems to deliver just that.
XR enthusiast and data miner Luna has found that the public test channel (PTC) users can preview a new experimental feature in the v67 update that allows more flexible placement of windowed content, inspired by Vision Pro. This includes three docked panels and three freely placeable panels, offering a more versatile virtual workspace. Additionally, a new virtual keyboard feature will enable vertical or angled placement for easier typing.
To try these features before their official release, users can enroll in the PTC through the Meta mobile app under Headset settings > Advanced settings > Public Test Channel. Note that availability might be limited.
