Meta's Leading Quest Game Finally Receives a Graphics Update Befitting the Quest 3 - Road to VR
Meta’s Biggest Quest Game Finally Gets Graphics Update Worthy of Quest 3
Asgard's Wrath 2, Meta's largest first-party Quest game, has finally received a significant graphics upgrade for the Quest 3 headset, addressing the lack of optimization since its release six months ago. The new update, version v5.0.1535650, includes several gigabytes of enhanced textures and shaders, which players can enable through the game's settings under "Enhanced Rendering Features." These improvements, however, cannot be used simultaneously with the game's 90Hz framerate mode, meaning players must choose between enhanced visuals or better performance, akin to 'Performance Mode' and 'Graphics Mode' in modern console games. The update significantly improves texture details and lighting, enhancing the game's visual fidelity compared to the Quest 2. For a more detailed comparison and the full story, visit Road to VR.
