New Ray-Ban Stories Will Reportedly Support First Person Livestreaming

According to journalist Janko Roettgers, the second generation of Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses will have better cameras and will support first person livestreaming. The upcoming device will not have a display but will feature higher quality cameras, longer battery life, and an anti-tamper mechanism to disable capturing images or videos when the front LED is covered. These glasses will also support livestreaming to Instagram and Facebook, with viewer comments being read out by an assistant via built-in speakers. As for the third generation Ray-Ban smartglasses set for 2025, leaked information suggests that they will include a heads-up display (HUD) and a neural input wristband. The HUD will be used to show notifications, scan QR codes, and translate real-world text, while the neural wristband will allow users to control the glasses through hand movements. Lastly, a report claims that only 10% of current Ray-Ban Stories owners actively use the first generation glasses. However, Meta, the company behind Ray-Ban Stories, is working on new features and improvements in hopes of attracting a wider audience and retaining active users.
