I Utilized Meta Ray-Ban Glasses and Apple Vision Pro to Report on the Augmented World Expo - UploadVR
I Used Meta Ray-Ban Glasses & Apple Vision Pro To Cover Augmented World Expo
Experience Augmented World Expo in Long Beach with Cutting-Edge Tech
I recently attended the Augmented World Expo in Long Beach, fully equipped with Meta Ray-Ban glasses and the Apple Vision Pro, revolutionizing my reporting process. Without a preset schedule, I engaged in numerous off-the-record conversations and background discussions to inform my long-term reporting. On-the-record interviews were seamlessly captured using the Meta glasses, transferred to an iPhone, and then refined using Apple Vision Pro within a Safari browser. This immersive setup allowed me to type effortlessly on an iClever pocket keyboard, projecting my work across my hotel room's ceiling.
Reflecting on 15 years of covering tech conferences, this advanced gear is precisely how I envision reporting in the future. Transitioning from handwritten notes and traditional CMS workflows, I now record conversations directly through my sunglasses, retreat to solitude with my VR headset, and compose comprehensive articles integrating words, images, and videos. My latest attempts using this workflow are documented in my reports on Sony's headset, Ultraleap, and Doublepoint.
