HTC Cuts Vive XR Elite Price in More Regions Ahead of New Headset Reveal
HTC has permanently reduced the price of its flagship standalone headset, the Vive XR Elite, from $1,100 to $900 in the US, with a similar price drop to £900 in the UK. The headset, initially released in February 2023 as a competitor to Meta’s Quest Pro, now faces competitive pricing challenges. Alongside the price cut, HTC is offering promotions for Vive XR Elite and Vive Ultimate Tracker bundles until August 31st.
Additionally, HTC teased a new XR headset, rumored to be an updated version of the Vive Focus 3 with the same displays and optics, along with the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 1 chipset and built-in eye-tracking.
