Horizon Workrooms Gets Streamlined Interface & Improved Personal Office But Reduced Features
Meta's Horizon Workrooms app, a collaborative productivity tool for Quest headsets, recently received a significant update that has its pros and cons. Workrooms allows users to view their PC monitor in VR, share screens with teammates as Meta Avatars, and join via webcam or web interface.
Key changes include the removal of the virtual whiteboard, customization options, web-based text chat, file sharing, and tracked keyboard support. Only one style of meeting room with a U-shaped table remains, and breakout groups are no longer available. However, the update improves the Personal Office by allowing the resizing and adjustment of floating monitors and streamlines the interface to be faster and easier to use.
