Hands-on: The Shiftall MeganeX Superlight Combines Ergonomic Features into a Compact Design - Road to VR

Hands-on: Shiftall MeganeX Superlight Packs a Wishlist of Ergonomics Into a Tiny Package

Shiftall, a company based in Japan, is introducing an ultra-compact VR headset called the MeganeX Superlight, targeted at VR enthusiasts keen on enhancing their PC VR experiences. Despite its small size, the headset offers essential optical adjustments, although it comes with a hefty price tag of $1,900. Available for pre-order in Japan, the United States, EU, and UK, it's expected to ship by early next year. Designed for the SteamVR ecosystem, the headset is sold separately from the necessary tracking beacons and controllers, which cost an additional $580. CEO Takuma Iwasa highlighted the company's focus on delivering a lightweight, comfortable headset for extended VR use, with features like IPD, eye-relief, diopter, a flip-up visor, and lens angle adjustment. Though promising, its high price could be a barrier. For comprehensive details, visit Road to VR for the full story.
