According to sources cited by The Verge, Google approached EssilorLuxottica, the company behind Ray-Ban and Oakley, about integrating its Gemini AI into future smart glasses. Despite the competition, Meta is seeing high demand for its Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, with Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth indicating they are surpassing expectations. Meta is also considering a significant investment in EssilorLuxottica to strengthen their collaboration and influence.
