Firmament 2.0 Update Introduces Ray-Traced Reflections While PS VR2 Version Faces Delay - UploadVR

Firmament 2.0 Update Adds Ray-Traced Reflections As PS VR2 Version Gets Delayed

Firmament version 2.0 brings enhancements like ray-traced reflections and plans to launch the VR puzzle adventure on PS VR2 next year. Cyan has transitioned the game to OpenXR and upgraded from Unreal Engine 4.27+ to Unreal Engine 5.3.2, fixing stability issues. This update introduces ray-traced reflections for Windows and Mac, while Nvidia's DLSS is now available in VR, and some VR controller bindings have been adjusted. Support is ending for various PC VR headsets, including the original Rift/Vive and Windows Mixed Reality, but the Vive Pro support remains unaffected. The PS VR2 release is delayed to Q1 2025 to address PlayStation-specific issues. Currently, Firmament is available on Steam with optional PC VR support.
