Final Cut Pro 11 Finally Enables Spatial Video Editing, But Misses Vision Pro Preview - Road to VR
Final Cut Pro 11 Finally Unlocks Spatial Video Editing, But Lacks Vision Pro Preview
Apple has launched Final Cut Pro 11, enabling users to edit spatial videos captured with Vision Pro or iPhone 15 Pro and later models. The updated software allows adjustments to the left- and right-eye angles, effects, color correction, and titles on a Mac display. Users can also edit these spatial videos on Vision Pro, taking advantage of Mac Virtual Display for a larger workspace. However, despite the expanded screen real estate, the experience remains 2D, as there's no in-headset preview option during editing. Finished videos can be exported to the Photos library and viewed on Vision Pro. Additionally, Apple has introduced a beta feature for a panoramic Mac Virtual Display, mimicking two 5K monitors for enhanced editing space. Visit Road to VR for the complete story.
