"Clamb" is a virtual reality game featuring sledgehammer-based movement, and it's just as wild as it sounds. - Road to VR
‘Clamb’ is a VR Game With Sledgehammer Locomotion, Which is Just as Insane as it Sounds
In the upcoming VR game Clamb from indie studio OP Softworks, players are marooned on an island with a single task: climb a mountain using just a sledgehammer, without falling. Fans of Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy (2017) might find this VR version equally challenging, despite the expectation of easier control through VR. Having tried the demo during Steam Next Fest, the unique physics-based movement provides a high skill floor and ensures it’s not a motion sickness-inducing experience. The demo features snap-turn and automatic vignettes for smoother navigation, and encourages players to experiment with the sledgehammer’s mechanics across varied and surreal terrains. For those who enjoy a test of perseverance, the free demo is available for SteamVR headsets until October 21st. For more details, visit the full story at Road to VR.
