China Mobile, the largest wireless carrier in China, has formed the China Mobile Metaverse Industry Alliance, which includes major names in the Chinese tech industry. The alliance aims to improve metaverse development in China, deepen cooperation between companies, and share the benefits of the digital economy. China Mobile also announced a member alliance fund to support metaverse projects and research and development. The company has previously partnered with HTC and launched its own XR interoperability standard.
