Konami Aims to Develop ‘Yu-Gi-Oh!’ for VR After Successful Prototype Demo

Konami recently showcased a VR proof-of-concept of the popular card battler game, Yu-Gi-Oh!, at the franchise's 25th anniversary event in Tokyo, Japan. The event, which highlighted everything related to the '90s show and trading card franchise, introduced a VR demo called 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Presents Solid Vision Experiment.' According to Konami, the VR activation was a success, leading them to plan the development of more Yu-Gi-Oh! games with VR and other technologies in the future. The demo allowed participants to experience a simplified version of the game, featuring a virtual arena and iconic monsters like Blue-Eyes White Dragon. While there have been fan-made VR projects based on Yu-Gi-Oh! in the past, this is the first official VR demonstration. To access the full story, visit the source article on Road to VR.
