Report: Quest to Natively Support Spatial Video Originally Meant for Vision Pro

According to a user on Twitter, the Meta app for iOS will reportedly have native support for playing spatial videos captured on the iPhone 15. The user found strings in the beta version of the app that suggest this support, including references to enabling spatial video in camera settings and uploading spatial video. The support from Meta Quest will make it easier for users to view spatial videos on their Quest devices and aligns the feature set of the Quest 2/3/Pro with that of the Vision Pro. Spatial video capture is currently only available on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, as well as the Vision Pro itself. It is expected that spatial video will become a more prominent feature in the future, possibly on future iPhone models. For the full story, users can visit the source at Road to VR.
